How to unlock firmware 3.0

This guide will show you how to unlock your iPhone 3G running firmware 3.0 using ultrasn0w by the iphone-dev team. If you are using T-Mobile turn off your 3G before starting this process.

1. Your device must be jailbroken running 3.0. To learn how to jailbreak your device click here

2. Open up Cydia

3. Tap the “Manage” button at the bottom

4. Tap “Sources”

5. Tap “Edit” button on top right corner

6. Tap “Add”

7. Enter http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com - Note that is a zero ‘0’ not a o

8. Tap “Add Source”

9. Tap “Return to Cydia”

10. Tap the”Done” button on the uper right hand corner

11. Tap on the repo666.ultrasn0w.com source

12. Tap Ultrasn0w

13. Tap “Install” on the upper right hand corner

14. Tap “Confirm” on the upper right hand corner

15. Once its complete tap the “Return to Cydia” button

16. Power off your device

17. Insert your sim card and turn the device back on
