Unlock iPhone 3G and iPhone3GS

Update: ultrasn0w has been updated to version 0.9-3 - 7/16/09

This guide will show you how to unlock your iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. By unlocking these devices you will be able to use the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS with any GSM cellphone carrier.

NOTE: T-mobile users should disable 3G before starting

1. Ensure your device is running firmware 3.0 or 3.0.1, jailbroken and hacktivated (activated iPhone without Apple or unofficially activated)

- To jailbreak and hacktivate your iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS use redsn0w

2. Open Cydia

3. Tap on ‘Manage’

4. Tap on ‘Sources’

5. Tap on ‘Edit’ on the upper right hand corner

6. Tap on ‘Add’ on the upper left hand corner

7. Now type in repo666.ultrasn0w.com (that is a zero 0)

8. Tap ‘Add Source’

9. Tap on ‘Return to Cydia’

10. Tap on ‘Done’

11.Tap on ‘http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com’

12. Tap on ‘Ultrasn0w’

13. Tap on ‘Install’

14. Tap on ‘Confirm’

15. Tap on ‘Return to Cydia’

16. Now turn off your device.

17. Insert your sim card.

18. Turn on your device and wait for it to find your carrier and enjoy!

NOTE: The main iPhone 3GS ultrasn0w glitch on hacktivated devices is: need to do Settings->General->Reset->Reset Network settings once
